Officer
and Committee Responsibilities
Executive Committee:
- Policy –making body, ensues progress toward HEEF mission, goals and objectives
- Responsible for general stewardship of HEEF
- Officers include Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian
Fund Development Committee:
Sets goals and benchmarks for annual fundraising
- Sustains/increases sponsors
- Encourages annual giving by all constituencies and pursues
grants
Awards Dinner and Corporate Reception Committee:
- Coordinates corporate reception and awards dinner within established
protocols
- Reports to Board on status of event panning
- Reports to Board on event needs
Board Development Committee:
- Identifies/recruits Board members
- Evaluates member participation
- Orients new Board members
Scholarship Committee:
- Reviews applicants and coordinates scholarship presentation
ceremony
- Develops student alumni programs
- Promotes HEEF within K-12 schools
Strategic Planning Committee:
- Evaluates 501 (C)(3) progress
- Address long term issues, policies, and procedures
- Promotes active Board participation and plans annual retreat
Finance Committee:
- Oversees/reports on financial and investment policies
- Reviews independent audits as needed
- Reviews financial reports
Community Campaign Committee:
- Guides and leads countywide campaign
- Partners with local civic and community organizations
- Establishes collections procedures
Communications Committee:
- Develops and executes marketing/media relations plan
- Periodically reviews and updates HEEF literature
- Oversees HEEF website maintenance
Sub-Funds Committee:
- Coordinate biannual orientation for representatives
- Provides quarterly communiqué to sub-fund representatives
- Seeks new sub-fund sponsors amongst educational institutions
