High School Students Scholarships -2007
Architecture and Engineering Scholarship Program
This scholarship is intended to promote the professions of Architecture
and Engineering. Graduating high school seniors with a minimum 3.5 GPA,
who have been accepted into an accredited 4 or 5-year program in Architecture
or Engineering may apply. Second year Community College transfer students
with a minimum 3.2 GPA who have been accepted into an accredited program
in Architecture or Engineering may apply. May be renewable based on
performance.

Arts Scholarship Program
The Arts Scholarship Fund, founded in 1999, awards scholarships
to high school students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing an education
and/or career in any of the various fields of the arts including the
performance of music, drama, dance, and the creativity of visual art
such as fine art and graphic design.

The Mike Carona Foundation Law Enforcement Scholarship
These scholarships are intended to provide support for graduating Orange
County High School Seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in
any facet of law enforcement. The scholarship may be used for any general
educational expense and may be renewed upon a successful re-application
process.

Chapman University Scholarship Program
These scholarships are for Latino (a) students of immigrant parents
who will be graduating from an Orange County High School. Individuals
are eligible to apply if they have applied to Chapman through the regular
admissions process; have significant financial need as defined by the
Federal needs analysis formula; have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.0
on a 4.0 scale; and are involved in extracurricular or other activities.

The Eisner Foundation Fund
This fund provides support for youth that are active participants of
the non-profit organization, Disney GOALS. The awards may be used for
tutoring costs or scholarships at all levels along the education continuum.

Friends of University of California Irvine
These scholarships are to provide support for Hispanic high school seniors
who are admitted and will attend the University of California, Irvine.

Future Leaders of America
This fund provides support for graduating seniors who have demonstrated
community leadership by volunteering at least 30 hours at a community-based
non-profit organization.

Healthcare Education Scholarship Fund
These scholarships are for Hispanic high school seniors who demonstrate
an interest in pursuing an education and/or career in any of the various
fields of healthcare.

High School Seniors Scholarship Program
(Scholarships included: Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Realtors
and Association of Hispanic Professionals for Education) These scholarships
are for Hispanic high school seniors who are attending an Orange County
high school. Support is provided by the HEEF
general fund for these awards. Payments are made when the student begins
his/her post-secondary education at any trade school, college or university
in the fall of 2003.

Ronald McDonald/HACER-UCI
These scholarships are for Hispanic high school seniors who are admitted
and will attend the University of California Irvine. Support is provided
by the HEEF general fund for these awards.

Soka University of America Scholarship Fund
Two scholarships are awarded annually to selected Latino (a) high school
seniors. Individuals are eligible to apply if they have applied to Soka
and have been accepted through the regular admission process; have demonstrated
financial need through submitting the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA); have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; and
have shown evidence of strong extracurricular activities demonstrating
leadership potential.
Award Amount: $1,500

Vanguard University Scholarship Fund
These scholarships are for qualified Hispanic high school seniors who
have applied and been accepted to Vanguard University for the fall term
2003. Scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees.

Hispanic Bar Association/Wally Davis Legal Memorial
Scholarship Fund
This fund is sponsored by the Hispanic Bar Association and awards scholarships
to Orange County Hispanic law students. The Fund was named in memory
of Wally Davis, one of the first Hispanic attorneys in Orange County
who fought for the civil rights of all Hispanics. Eligible students
must be from Orange County, be of Latino origin and have Latino community
and school involvement in the fall of 2002. A photo is optional.

Richard Bermundez/Friends of Cal State Fullerton
Scholarship Fund
This fund provides support for incoming Cal State Fullerton students
who have graduated from an Orange County high school. Eligible students
must demonstrate financial need by falling within the income thresholds
listed below. Screening will be by application only, no personal interviews
conducted.
