HEEF Subfund Criteria

AlvaradoSmith Raymond G. Alvarado Scholarship Fund
For OC high school or community college graduates who have been admitted to a Law School or for non-OC Latino students who are attending an OC Law School. Applicants must have participated in college pre law programs or clubs as well as worked or volunteered in a local Law Firm or public law services agency and/or the OC Hispanic Bar Association.

Angel and Rosemary Varela Scholarship
For OC Dream Act/ AB 540 community college transfers with a 2.5 GPA or higher who will enroll at a 4-year college or university.

Architecture and Engineering Scholarship
To qualify for this scholarship you must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and enroll in an accredited 4- or 5-year Architecture or Engineering Program. First time or continuing community college pre-Architecture or Engineering majors are eligible.

Arts Scholarship
For high school or community college students who are admitted and enroll in music, drama, dance, visual or fine art, graphic design or related major.

Association of Hispanic Professionals for Education
For community college transfers who enroll in a Business Administration or related major. Preference will be given to students who enroll at CSU Fullerton.

Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez Anaheim Achievement Fund
For Anaheim Union High School District graduates who enroll at a 2 or 4-year college or university. Preference will be given to applicants who participated in Head Start or a related program or attended Anaheim City School District.

De La Libertad Scholarship Fund
For Human Options clients and/or their children, who enroll at a 2- or 4-year college, a vocational training or other educational program.

Eisner Foundation Scholarship
Applicants must be or have been active participants in Goals. The award may be used for fees or tutoring.

Scholars’ Hope
For high school seniors who participated in the Scholars’ Hope program from 4th through 12th grade.

ENLACE
This scholarship is for “Santa Ana College Adelante” Program transfers to a four year college or university.

Fernando & Olga Niebla Scholarship
This scholarship is for high school seniors or community college transfers who enroll at a 4-year college or university. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, must major in science, engineering, or business and must have a history of community service.

Friends of CA State Fullerton / Richard Bermudez Scholarship
For high school seniors and community college transfers who are admitted to and enroll at CSUF, demonstrate extracurricular or community leadership and have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Friends of the University of California, Irvine Scholarship
This scholarship is for high school seniors or community college transfers who enroll at the University of California, Irvine and demonstrate extracurricular or community leadership.

Healthcare Education Scholarship Fund
For high school seniors or community college transfers who enroll in a health career related major. Applicants must have prior volunteer or paid service in health care and wellness.

Henry T. Nicholas III Foundation Fund Scholarship
Applicants must be or have been a Santa Ana USD Nicolas Academic Center (NAC) participant. Graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Preference will be given to IT and Engineering majors.

Hispanic Bar Association of OC Wallace (Wally) R. Davis Memorial Scholarship
For Orange County Latino Students currently attending law school and have demonstrated involvement in the Latino Community. Eligible students must be current 1- or 2-L law students of Latino origin. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
For high school seniors or community college transfers majoring in Business, Marketing, Finance, International Business, Management or a related major.

Lara Family Scholarship
For community college transfers of Mexican descent with a 3.2 GPA or higher who demonstrate exceptional leadership, and/or extracurricular, church/ community service, or employment-work.

The Luévano Foundation
Provides annual academic scholarships to deserving Hispanic students in Orange County to attend Catholic school. Students must be in enrolling/attending middle school (grades 6 – 8) at one of the following 4 schools: St. Joseph’s, St. Anne’s, School of Our Lady, or St. Joachim. Eligible students must be of Hispanic descent, reside in Orange County, maintain a 3.0GPA and demonstrate financial need.

MANA De Orange County
For Latinas with dependent children, who re-enroll in college and who qualify for need based financial aid.

National Hispanic Business Women Association Scholarship

Mayte Santacruz Pre Law Scholarship Fund
For high school seniors or community college/university students interested in pursuing a career in Law. Preference will be given to AB 540/ Dream Act high school seniors from Santa Ana USD and Santa Ana CC transfers with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Mike Carona Foundation Law Enforcement Scholarship
For high school students or community college transfers majoring in Law Enforcement, Criminology or a related major .

New Century Financial Corporation
For Santa Ana College transfers who enroll in a 4-year college/university. Preference may be given to Business, Finance, Marketing or related majors and Santa Ana Adelante transfers.

Orange County Register/Excelsior
For high school seniors or community college transfers who are involved in newspaper, yearbook, journalism or communications.

Orange County United Way
For high school seniors who participated in the United Way AVID Program at Anaheim High, Cypress, Katella, Savanna, Huntington Beach, Westminster, Los Amigos, Century, Godinez Fundamental, Segerstrom, or Santa Ana Middle College.

Sage Hill High School
This scholarship is for 4-year college or university bound Sage Hill High School Latino seniors.

Sandra Y. Cervantes Scholarship Fund
For high school seniors and community college transfers. Preference will be given for students interested in business, entrepreneurship, real estate, finance or other related areas.

Santa Ana College/ENLACE Scholarships
For current SAC students or SAC transfers to a university. Must be in good academic standing and have unmet financial need.

Soka University of America Scholarship Fund
For high school seniors and community college transfers who enroll at Soka and are involved in extracurricular and leadership activities.

Union Bank of California
For high school seniors and community college transfers majoring in Business, Finance, or Marketing or a related major. Must be in good academic standing and have unmet financial need.

Vanguard University Scholarship Fund
For high school seniors or community college transfers who enroll at Vanguard. Scholarship may be used for tuition, books, and fees.

Wells Fargo Scholarship
This scholarship is for high school seniors and community college transfers who major in business, finance, or a related major.
